Paint booth owner, owner of Diy paint shop shot dead
A man was killed and two other people were wounded in a shooting in the Chicago suburb of Diya, authorities said.
The shootings happened about 1 a.m.
Monday near the intersection of N. LaSalle and E. Michigan avenues, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
The shooting was reported by a woman who called 911 and identified herself as a mother of two who was visiting her daughter in the hospital, the medical examiner said.
She said her daughter was shot in the leg.
Authorities said a person of interest was taken into custody.
It was not immediately clear if the shooter was in custody.
Chicago police are investigating and said they did not have any information on the motive for the shooting.
No arrests had been made.
